Dust Suppression Tailings – DST

DST is a concentrated cross-linked polymer additive that is dispensed straight from the IBC that is supplied in, into the already water filled water cart/tank/system via a positive displacement non-shear pump.

DST rapidly dissolves in the water, producing sprayable gel-water. The mixture is then applied on to the tailings through any suitable spray system or method –We can advise the most cost conscious and effective method if required.

What Does The Product Do
The active polymers work by producing a gel like mixture that when applied, dries to create a permeable skin/membrane containing the fine particles of the tailings. The product when rained on softens then re-activates and dries again.
Treatment area identification can be achieved through addition of our green marking dye.

What Does The Product Achieve
DST provides effective dust control for 1-month to 18-months on tailings facilities.

Dosage and Application
0.1% to 0.15% solution I.e 1L to 1.5L for every 1,000L of water – This will be advised on when the client shares their scope and material type
Applied at 2L of solution per m2
