Dust Suppression Stockpiles – SuperWetter
SuperWetter is a concentrated polymer and surfactant additive that is dispensed straight from the flowbin that it is supplied in or from the on site storage tanks, dosed into the spray line of the on-site spray system, where it mixes with water and is applied onto the stockpile.
SuperWetter rapidly mixes with the water in the spray line, producing thicker water that breaks the surface tension of the material that it is sprayed onto for better wetting and moisture retention.
What Does The Product Do
The active polymers work by breaking the surface tension and retaining water. This means that once applied to the stockpile, the water penetrates into the stockpile, binding the fines and retaining the water to keep the exposed area moist, preventing fugitive dust lift off for longer periods of time than water only applications.
SuperWetter works on static stockpiles and on dynamic stockpiles in stacker and reclaimer setups.
What Does The Product Achieve
By keeping the stockpile surface wet for longer, using less water, the product has the following benefits:
Dust Mitigation Through Effective Wetting: The coalesced fines maintain a dust extinction moisture level for longer.
Reduced Over Wetting: Just the right amount of water is used. This prevents over wetting and slurry runoff.
Dosage
0.1% to 1% into the water line
How to Estimate Monthly Usage
1L to 10L of SuperWetter for every 1,000L of water used – Advised upon project scope evaluation
