Igugu Industries supplies bitumen binders and other bitumen related products for seals and asphalt: 70/100 and 50/70 penetration grade bitumen, MC-3000 cutback bitumen, S-E1 and S-E2 modified seal binders, A-E1 and A-E2 modified asphalt binders, a self-priming seal binder and aggregate precoating fluid. One supplier for bituminous products supply, to SANS specifications where applicable and to your project specification, in bulk or 200 L drums depending on the product and delivered to all nine provinces.
Penetration grade bitumen (70/100, 50/70)
Hot-applied penetration grade bitumen to SANS 4001-BT1: 70/100 for spray seals and foamed bitumen stabilisation, and 50/70 for hot mix asphalt.

MC-3000 cutback bitumen (seal binder)
A medium-curing cutback bitumen, sprayed hot as a seal binder where road temperatures are lower. It is to SANS 4001-BT2, and it is flammable.

Polymer-modified seal binder, S-E1 and S-E2 (hot, SBS)
Hot-applied SBS polymer-modified bitumen for spray seals where the specification calls for a modified binder. The SBS polymer improves seal performance.

Self-priming polymer-modified seal binder
A polymer-modified bitumen for surfacing roads with graded aggregate, with no separate prime coat. It suits labour-based surfacing.

Cutback bitumen: prime or seal binder
Cutback bitumen does two different jobs. MC-3000, above, is a seal binder for lower road temperatures. MC-30 and MC-10 prime granular bases: see cutback primes. All three are flammable and to SANS 4001-BT2.
Hot binders and delivery
Penetration grade bitumen and the S-E seal binders travel hot, in bulk by heated tanker; penetration grade bitumen also comes in 200 L drums, sold by mass. Tell us the site, the tonnes, the delivery temperature and the tanker access, and the quote confirms delivery.

Which bitumen binders does Igugu supply?
Igugu Industries supplies 70/100 and 50/70 penetration grade bitumen (SANS 4001-BT1), MC-3000 cutback bitumen (SANS 4001-BT2), S-E1 and S-E2 polymer-modified seal binders, A-E1 and A-E2 polymer-modified asphalt binders, a self-priming polymer-modified seal binder and aggregate precoating fluid.
70/100 or 50/70 bitumen: what is the difference?
Both are penetration grade bitumen to SANS 4001-BT1. 70/100 is the softer grade, used for spray seals and foamed bitumen stabilisation; 50/70 is the harder grade, used in hot mix asphalt. Igugu Industries supplies both, and your project specification names the grade.
How is penetration grade bitumen delivered?
In bulk by heated tanker, or in 200 L drums of about 200 kg, sold by mass. Tell Igugu Industries the grade, the tonnes, the delivery temperature and the tanker access at your site or asphalt plant, and the quote confirms delivery.
Is MC-3000 a prime?
No. MC-3000 is a cutback bitumen sprayed hot as a seal binder for lower road temperatures. The cutback primes are MC-30 and MC-10, which Igugu Industries supplies for priming granular bases. All three are to SANS 4001-BT2.
What do you need to quote a bitumen binder?
